Write an 800-word essay on one of the following topics. This essay must be logically organized, grammatically correct, worded clearly and concisely, and fully supported by quotations and/or details from the work. It must also provide a complete analysis of the subject matter in question, and any literary analysis must ultimately lead to an explanation of the subject matter of the work.

Make a claim about the work and back it up with specifics. Your essay does not have to answer all of the questions listed with the topic or arranged according to their structure. The questions are there to stimulate your thought process about the puzzle pieces.

Your essay must be in the standard essay format and be based on your own ideas; research is not required. If you use material from secondary sources, you should use the MLA format for your citations. Make sure you double the space for your essay, number the pages, use font 12, include your name, my name, grade, essay number and date in the top right corner left of the first page as directed by the MLA and center the title above the beginning of the essay.

If you would like to write on a topic other than those provided, you may do so, but you must have the instructor’s approval. NURS 6053 WU Wk 7 The Function of the Chorus in Oedipus Essay

  1. What do you think the play Sure Things suggests about modern relationships? Romantic relationships? Dating? Love? Remember that your essay needs to focus on dissecting and analyzing the play itself and examining what it is exploring and indicating about relationships.
    • This is not an essay in which you should spend a lot of time on your view of relationships. Rather explain what this dramatic work is revealing about relationships and use details and quotes from the text to support your analysis and interpretation.
  2. Discuss how Oedipus is a dynamic character. How does he change, what does he learn and what do the readers learn from his discovery about himself?
  3. Discuss the function of the chorus in Oedipus.
  4. Discuss the importance of Tiresias in the play.

Discussion: Workplace Environment Assessment

How healthy is your workplace?

You may think your current organization operates seamlessly, or you may feel it has many issues. You may experience or even observe things that give you pause. Yet, much as you wouldn’t try to determine the health of a patient through mere observation, you should not attempt to gauge the health of your work environment based on observation and opinion. Often, there are issues you perceive as problems that others do not; similarly, issues may run much deeper than leadership recognizes.

There are many factors and measures that may impact organizational health. Among these is civility. While an organization can institute policies designed to promote such things as civility, how can it be sure these are managed effectively? In this Discussion, you will examine the use of tools in measuring workplace civility. NURS 6053 WU Wk 7 The Function of the Chorus in Oedipus Essay
