Assignment: Assessing and Treating Clients With Impulsivity, Compulsivity, and Addiction

Impulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction are very difficult problems to treat for people of all ages. These diseases frequently show as negative behaviors, which have negative consequences for clients. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, you will have the opportunity to assist clients in addressing the underlying causes of their problems and overcoming harmful behaviors. Consider how you would assess and treat clients who appear with impulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction as you explore the client case study in this week’s Learning Resources for this Assignment.
