Differences between men and women have long been explored in literature, film, and other forms of popular culture. These findings include cultural, behavioral, and biological distinctions that may have an influence on pathophysiological processes and, ultimately, health, in addition to evident and even subtle features.

Acute care nurses will be more prepared to interact with patients of both sexes if they are aware of these variations in features and how they affect pathophysiology. Additionally, APRNs who are able to explain these variations can better direct treatment for patients, regardless of gender.

You will study the underlying theories behind both men’s and women’s health issues this week. Additionally, you study typical infections and hematologic illnesses, using the important phrases and ideas that support explaining the pathophysiological etiology of these conditions to patients.
